I have worked before in areas of :

• Artificial Intelligence such as Temporal Reasoning and Argumentation Systems
• Software Engineering, mainly Verification of behavioural properties of systems

I am currently focused on the advancement of new emergent areas referred as: Ambient Intelligence, Smart Environments or Intelligent Environments: "digital environments that proactively, but sensibly, support people in their daily lives" (See [Augusto2007a] in my list of publications)
